Making education personal

The Access Masters Fall Tour enables senior Bachelor’s degree students or recent graduates who are fluent in English to discover the diversity of Masters programmes in their chosen field of study and select ones that suit them best. Masters aspirants can participate in graduate school fairs, One-to-One meetings, admission and test preparation workshops, and consulting sessions. The event is designed to help them make the best educational choice. In addition, one of the event attendees will win a free campus visit to a university of their choice that will be organised and financed by the Access Masters Tour.

One-to-One meetings are by invitation only, based on the preferences, qualifications and English proficiency of prospective applicants and the offerings and requirements of the best matching business schools. The opportunity to have in-person meetings with insiders from top business schools – admissions’ directors, professors, and alumni – has always been highly appreciated by prospective Masters students. Personal contact helps to identify the most appealing programmes for them and improve their chances of admission. One-to-One meetings offer the opportunity to learn more about individual Masters programmes directly from the source and discover all the details that matter to you most.

Exploring diversity

The Access Masters Fairs allow participants to learn about many different Masters programmes in a short period. During the open fair prospective Masters applicants can visit university booths, meet admissions’ officers, and enquire about details of their graduate programmes, beyond business and management, in fields as diverse as Social Sciences, Humanities, Legal Studies, Engineering, Technology, Sciences and Arts.

It is important to make a distinction between the One-to-One event format and the Access Masters fairs. The One-to-One event format is designed for prospective students who are interested in business, management and finance Masters degree programmes. Candidates connect with business schools and universities that match their profile and preferences during 20-minute in-person meetings scheduled in advance. The fairs, on the other hand, allow candidates to go from booth to booth, meeting school representatives and learning about various Masters programmes in diverse fields of study.

Experiencing a dream university

The lottery is an opportunity for an English-speaking Bachelor’s degree recent graduate or senior student who has participated in a One-to-One event anywhere in the world to win a free campus visit. The name of the winner is selected in a random draw at the end of the fall and spring tour seasons. Subsequently, the Access Masters Tour arranges the campus visit to a university or business school selected by the winner and covers travel and accommodation expenses.

Guidance on each step

Aspirants who participate in an Access Masters Tour event stand to gain much more than finding the right programme. They can also receive expert feedback on the strengths and areas of improvement of their profile and professional advice on what makes an outstanding application. They can also get practical tips on test preparation (GMAT, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.), scholarship applications, and other funding options.

Top international universities and business schools

The 2019 Access Masters Fall Tour will feature leading Masters programmes taught in English from countries such as France, US, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain and the UK. Students can meet top international business schools and universities including IESE Business School (Spain), ranked No. 5 in the 2018 Financial Times European Business School Ranking and ESSEC Business School (France), No. 8 in the same ranking and No. 5 in the 2018 Financial Times Masters in Finance Pre-experience Ranking.

Those of you interested in studying in the UK will be pleased to learn that Nottingham Trent University (NTU) will also participate in the events. In April, the university was named ‘University of the Year’ by The Guardian. The prestigious award comes after NTU received the Times Higher Education University of the Year 2017 and the Times and Sunday Times Modern University of the Year 2018.

Some of the US universities that will present their graduate programmes are Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, which is ranked No. 10 in U.S. News’ 2019 Best Business Schools ranking, and Hult International Business School, which was ranked seventh for International Mobility in the 2018 Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking.

In terms of programme formats, participants can choose from a wide variety, including one-year, two-year, full-time and part-time programmes. There is indeed something for everyone.

Who can benefit?

The Access Masters events are designed to help prospective Masters students globally find the programmes that suit them best.

Organisers encourage students in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree studies and recent graduates who are fluent in English to join the events. Most Masters degree programmes welcome applicants with no work experience. However, some programmes are targeted at young professionals who already have about two years of professional experience relevant to the intended field of specialisation in graduate school. Fluency in English for academic studies is essential because most of the programmes presented at the Access Masters events are taught in English.
